Canadian iPhone Users Rejoice! Telus Coming Soon.

Do you live in Canada and have been waiting for the Rogers Wireless exclusivity deal to end, well your wish has come true. TELUS today announced that it will  bring the iPhone 3GS to Canada on Thursday, November 5, with a range of 3G data plans for iPhone customers. Now this doesn’t mean that you can’t get your iPhone from Rogers, it just means you can your iPhone from more than one provider now.

While the Telus network has been CDMA-only, the carrier is not selling a modified phone. Rather, the company is launching its iPhone-compatible HSPA network, which it’s marketing to consumers as 3G+.

There is a little bad news though (as usual with telecom companies), the plans aren’t cheap and really match the price that was expected for release from Bell, who is also rumored to be offering iPhone 3GS phone and plans soon in Canada. For those of you that live in the U.S. don’t hold your breath, the AT&T exclusivity contract is much longer and is expected to end late 2010.

TELUS  offers the iPhone 3GS and 3G at the following hardware prices:

16GB 3GS Black or White
