iPhone App Developers Contributing to Haiti Relief

We’ve been watching the devastation unfold right in front of our eyes on T.V. and everyone has been trying to do something to help, well now you can just by purchasing apps and what a GREAT excuse to buy some apps, lol! There are several companies out there doing something for the Haiti Relief that you can support to get your donation to the charity of your choice. For starters – there is the big one that involves multiple developers and it’s called the Indie Relief.

A group of over 140 Mac and iPhone developers will donate 100 percent of their software sales from the day to a charity of their choice through Indie+Relief. The charities are all helping with the relief efforts in Haiti and include such organizations as Doctors Without Borders, the Red Cross, and UNICEF. Applications range in price, but they start at $0.99 so there really is something that practically everyone can afford.

I also found these companies had particular Haiti Relief deals …

When you earn enough karmas you can donate them for good deeds, from planting a tree to caring for an injured animal (and now donating to Haiti). Sponsors (Citi & Kraft) donate real money. We turn their money into ‘karmas’. You earn karmas and choose where it goes.”

App: Guard

By visiting http://www.GetUncommon.com/collections when you purchase one of the six protective cases for iPhone 3G from the Haiti Relief Collection, 100% of profits will be donated directly to the American Red Cross. All of the designs are inspired by and for Haiti, with more styles expected to become available in the coming weeks. The Haiti Fractured Mosaic [3] case is sampled from the vibrant colors and market life of Haiti, while the “Text HAITI 90999 [4]” call-to-action cases keep on giving after purchase by reminding friends and strangers how easy it is to simply donate $10 during the rebuilding period.

Cases are all $39.95 and feature Uncommon’s patent pending 3D TATT(tm) printing process, which embeds the image deep into the shell (much like a tattoo) with amazing clarity and the highest quality found on the market.
