I don’t know about you guys, but I am a word game fanatic. There is nothing better to me to pass the time than a good ole’ word game, so this review was so fitting for me.

What is Cyber Word?

Cyber Word could be described simply as a word scramble with different modes. You move letters around to make words with the goal of getting the most points. Cyber Word has three modes that you can choose from: Infinite, Puzzle, and Challenge.

Cyber Word - Infinite Mode

Infinite mode is just as it sounds. You can continue to make words for as literally as long as you want out of the letters Cyber Word throws your way as long as you meet the mission of the level.

Cyber Word 3

Puzzle mode lets you only use the letters you are given initially and try to get rid of them all (something I haven’t done yet), needless to say this mode in my opinion is the most challenging!

Cyber Word - Puzzle Mode

Challenge mode is a mix of both puzzle and infinite mode. It continues to give you letters but increases the level after reaching a set number of words each round.

My WishList:

My wish list features are just that. This is not what the app is missing, it’s just what I would like to see in the future updates of myPsy.

  1. Better Graphics – The graphics are far from horrible, but I improved graphics would have made the game much more enjoyable. This is why I would NEVER develop games, my art skills just non-existent, lol.
  2. Multi-Player Mode- I desperately wanted to play this game against my friends. Maybe taking turns after each word or just a time challenge against each other.
  3. Better Guides – I found myself constantly trying to determine what move what, etc. I know there is a help and that is great, but as a avid user of many iPhone apps and games, I just want to open the game and know what to do. This could have been achieved with a very short, but concise image before starting each mode on what the different colors of the tiles mean, what moves them, etc.

Overall:

The game is absolutely fun enough to purchase for a buck. If word games are your thing, Cyber Word is a must have on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
