Ever wondered what your friends are REALLY like, their true thoughts and perspectives on life? Have you ever found yourself on an interview ever wondering if you were truly going to be compatible for a particular position working with a particular personality? Have you  been in charge of hiring and just can’t weed out the truths from the ‘flubs’? Well, MyPsy is here to help you truly figure out someone’s character and compatibility.

What is MyPsy?

MyPsy is an app that uses Science to help you determine someone’s true personality. MyPsy uses a set of about 60 questions that focus on one’s interactions with others, background, and feelings about one’s own actions. With your answers, MyPsy formulates a profile that will show you one’s true personality.

MyPsy helps you evaluate numerous people as it saves each profile you would like saved. MyPsy can be easily described as a professional version of all those silly online personal profile tests.  MyPsy in my opinion is ideal for mobile recruiting purposes and anything related to employee interactions, but is flexible enough to be used on a first date.

The Value:

MyPsy was created by a Psychiatrist. Quite frankly, a $4.99 price tag is much cheaper than sending all of your friends and potential job candidates to the Psychiatrist’s office!

My WishList:

My wish list features are just that. This is not what the app is missing, it’s just what I would like to see in the future updates of myPsy.

  1. Welcome Screen – I like things that get to the point and this app does it a little to well. I would have preferred a “what’s about to happen, welcome screen” at launch.
  2. Email Results - I think those that take the test would be interested in reading it later and sharing with friends, maybe it could send an image that includes something like “This profile was created using MyPsy on the iPhone” at the bottom for marketing purposes.

Overall:

MyPsy is wonderful, professionally created app. It’s like having a psychiatrist in your pocket with you at all times (and in my opinion that actually isn’t a bad idea  for everyone these days, lol). One you have this app, I don’t see why you would go out on dates, hire staff, or even have friends,  without using this app. It’s the perfect app for finding out one’s true compatibility with another!

  1. i completely disagree with this review. this is an extremely limited app with no validity as an assessment tool. it takes too long to go through to ever practically use it with many people (someone mentioned using it for speed dating??), and there's a limit of 1 profile a day. this is very, very far off from having a psychiatrist in your pocket and claims like that need to be taken with a grain of salt. if you're hiring process takes this app's findings into consideration, that's not a good sign.
