Apple’s newest tech loveliness a.k.a. the iPhone 4 can’t stop getting better. I think Apple read everyone’s thoughts (or comments on blogs) and put something together to test out that fabulous new feature, FaceTime.

What’s so great about is that you can literally call Apple, chat with an Apple employee, and test out your FaceTime chat feature all at once, it’s super! So go ahead guys, call 1-888-FACETIME and ask the Apple employees some questions, I’m sure they are all excited about this one, lol! I’m making my call in just a few minutes to quiz, bother speak to an Apple rep.

Fake-A-Call allows users to activate a fake phone call immediately or at a preset time. It can be used as an excuse to get out of uneasy situations or simply trick friends with its realistic conversations. Set an iPhone to “call” itself at any time and initiate four preset conversations or custom recordings. An array of advanced settings leaves users able to completely emulate an actual phone call.

The free Fake-A-Call application from Excelltech Mobile, allows users to activate a fake phone call immediately or at a preset time. It can be used as an excuse to get out of uneasy situations or simply trick friends with its realistic conversations.

“Long meetings, first dates, high-pressure salespersons – there are many moments in life that leave us hoping for a phone call. I wanted to make an application that ensured I wouldn’t have to leave that call to chance,” said Ed Williams, Excelltech Mobile designer.

Apparently he’s not the only one who wanted to summon a call at will – the application has been downloaded by over two million people since it’s September 2009 release. Reviews left on iTunes credit the application with such things as getting out of work meetings to faking celebrity hookups.

Originally featuring just an incoming call screen, Fake-a-Call has established itself as a top 100 utilities application by providing consistent updates and feature additions. The application now features four fake conversations that engage in common dialogues such as a boss requesting a report or a friend calling for a ride. Users can also record and save their own fake conversations creating more realistic and customized exchanges. Advanced settings including speakerphone, ring tones, and caller name help fool the most skeptical of people.

Those trendy white earbuds that you have only used for listening to your music, do more than you might realize. The iPhone’s headphones have a small button on the microphone and it performs multiple functions. Some of the things you would fumble to do while taking your daily run, enjoying your music on a long flight, or just trying to ignore an annoying friend, might become easier with a few iPhone  headphone tips.  So let’s get it going!

While you are in a phone call:

1. Press the button on your headphone once to answer a call.
2. Press the button on your headphone twice to send the call to voicemail.
3. Press the button on your headphone once to hang up a call.

When you are on a call while and a second call comes in:

1. Press the button once to hold current call and switch to new call.
2. Hold the button for 2 seconds and release to ignore new call.

iPod Functions:

1. Press the button once to to start the iPod and begin playing a song.
2. Press the button again to pause the track
3. Double-tap the button to skip to the next song.

When you hold your precious iPhone in your hands what is one of the first things you see, besides the screen silly, your iPhone’s home button! Believe it or not, Apple has made this button very helpful and it does more than close out your apps.

I will detail briefly the power of your iPhone Home Button, this is a total must have for any iPhone or iPod Touch power-users or the power-users in the making.

#1  - Go directly to the Home Screen.

You are a total app fanatic, you have 180 apps (the maximum number of apps you can have on an iPhone 4 on the home row and 176 on the other 11 pages, btw) and you want to just get to something on the first page. Don’t you dare swipe your finger across the page 11 times…no no no…simply tap your home button once and you are there.

#2 – Quickly get access to your tunes.

When your phone is locked there is absolutely no reason you should unlock the phone just to access your music on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Simply press the home button twice when you phone is locked and press play. It’s that easy folks.

#3 – Need to make a quick call.

That’s right, your iPhone home button handles this too. Simply double tap your iPhone’s home button from the first page/home screen and your iPhone will automatically pull up your

#4 – Send out the search dogs.

Ok, maybe not the search dogs, but with one touch of your iPhone or iPod Touch home button (with 3.0 software) from your home screen/first page you can instantly be sent to the search screen and begin your search.

#5 – Two words. Voice Control

Do you have an iPhone 3GS…well hold down your home button for a few seconds and your iPhone voice controls will ignite.
