So Apple has finally given us a reason to be happy to do, they have given us the opportunity to get our FREE bumper!

The bumpers all seem to be shipping within 3-5 weeks and of course a lot of options as Jobs promised. So how do you get your free iPhone bumper, let’s see. In true iPhone fashion, it’s all done by an iPhone app.

1. Download the iPhone 4 Case Program app from the App Store by visiting Apple Case Program.
2. Launch the app on your iPhone 4 and sign in using your iTunes Store account or Apple ID.
3. Select your case.

Did you already purchase a case? No worries! Return to the store with your receipt by September 30, 2010, to get your refund.

Apple has made it super easy. I wondered for a second why this wasn’t simply handled through a website, but someone brought to my attention it was all done probably for customer service. Instead of requesting information they can already get from your iPhone like your name, address, shipping address, etc. they can simply make an app to retrieve that info and get you to your case as quickly as possible. This is all funny to me, as again it’s Apple being consistent with their brand.

Kudos to Apple and I can’t wait for my free case. I picked the Speck Pixel HD, which case did you guys choose?

So whether you had an issue or not with your iPhone 4 (which luckily I didn’t), Apple will send you a FREE bumper for your great new iPhone 4. Have you purchased a bumper already? Don’t worry your FULL refund is on the way. Mr. Jobs has it all figured out (including “Antennagate” as he refers to this) and once again proves he understands great customer service. You have to apply on website starting in about one week and you have until September 30, 2010 to request your new bumper.
If you are still unhappy with the issue of the iPhone 4, you can return the iPhone 4 for a full refund in the 30 days. Personally, I don’t think too many people will take advantage of the latter, but a free iPhone 4 bumper is great. Bug fixes have also been released in the new iOS 4.1 update and Steve Jobs encourages everyone to update.

Personally, I think this will increase the sales of the iPhone 4 for other people, so I don’t know what do you think. Are you going to be waiting in the virtual line for your new iPhone 4 bumper OR will you just be returning it?

Fake-A-Call allows users to activate a fake phone call immediately or at a preset time. It can be used as an excuse to get out of uneasy situations or simply trick friends with its realistic conversations. Set an iPhone to “call” itself at any time and initiate four preset conversations or custom recordings. An array of advanced settings leaves users able to completely emulate an actual phone call.

The free Fake-A-Call application from Excelltech Mobile, allows users to activate a fake phone call immediately or at a preset time. It can be used as an excuse to get out of uneasy situations or simply trick friends with its realistic conversations.

“Long meetings, first dates, high-pressure salespersons – there are many moments in life that leave us hoping for a phone call. I wanted to make an application that ensured I wouldn’t have to leave that call to chance,” said Ed Williams, Excelltech Mobile designer.

Apparently he’s not the only one who wanted to summon a call at will – the application has been downloaded by over two million people since it’s September 2009 release. Reviews left on iTunes credit the application with such things as getting out of work meetings to faking celebrity hookups.

Originally featuring just an incoming call screen, Fake-a-Call has established itself as a top 100 utilities application by providing consistent updates and feature additions. The application now features four fake conversations that engage in common dialogues such as a boss requesting a report or a friend calling for a ride. Users can also record and save their own fake conversations creating more realistic and customized exchanges. Advanced settings including speakerphone, ring tones, and caller name help fool the most skeptical of people.
