Dejumble 2.0 for iPhone, a task manger for the iPhone is an app that includes features not found in most other to-do or note taking applications. It employs proprietary, push sync technology to synchronize with any other Dejumble app running on an iPhone, iPod, iPad, or Mac by means of a free Dejumble Account.

Maintaining the extreme flexibility of Dejumble for Mac, Dejumble for iPhone works equally well for users who want to strictly adhere to GTD (Getting Things Done) principles, follow a prioritization method, just take notes, or simply make an ordinary grocery list. Notes are not an add-on; they are an integral part of the app’s design. Notes are easily created and customized using wiki-style editing for bold, italic, and color text. Any number of subtasks may be embedded within a note.

Dejumble for iPhone features graphical tags and positional prioritization for any entry. While entering the title of a task the user may simultaneously tag it, assigning it a category such as Work or Errands, as well as prioritize it, assigning it a specific, numerical importance such as 3 or 7. Once items have been tagged or prioritized navigation is automatic using the iPhone’s touch screen.

Feature Highlights:
* Tasks and notes together in a simple yet powerful app for iPhone
* Synchronize tasks and notes in real-time with Dejumble for Mac
* Tag and prioritize, set due dates and stay focused
* Add subtasks to notes
* Make notes more effective with basic formatting like bold and italic
* Search tasks using keywords from notes, titles and priorities
* File important completed tasks
* Postpone tasks to another day using the tagging function
* iPad and Web versions of Dejumble under development

The app employs proprietary, push sync technology, keeping all the user’s Dejumble apps on all their wireless devices and computers automatically synchronized. Because all data is centralized in their free on-line Dejumble Account, users need never perform manual synching between devices. An entry in their Dejumble for iPhone app is instantaneously reflected in their Dejumble for Mac application. No matter where they are, or which mobile device or computer they are using, the user has access to the most up-to-date notes and tasks.

Device Requirements:
* iPhone or iPod touch
* iOS 3.1.3 or later
* 4.1 MB

Pricing and Availability:
Dejumble 2.0 for iPhone is $4.99 (USD) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category. Review copies are available upon request.

So whether you had an issue or not with your iPhone 4 (which luckily I didn’t), Apple will send you a FREE bumper for your great new iPhone 4. Have you purchased a bumper already? Don’t worry your FULL refund is on the way. Mr. Jobs has it all figured out (including “Antennagate” as he refers to this) and once again proves he understands great customer service. You have to apply on website starting in about one week and you have until September 30, 2010 to request your new bumper.
If you are still unhappy with the issue of the iPhone 4, you can return the iPhone 4 for a full refund in the 30 days. Personally, I don’t think too many people will take advantage of the latter, but a free iPhone 4 bumper is great. Bug fixes have also been released in the new iOS 4.1 update and Steve Jobs encourages everyone to update.

Personally, I think this will increase the sales of the iPhone 4 for other people, so I don’t know what do you think. Are you going to be waiting in the virtual line for your new iPhone 4 bumper OR will you just be returning it?

Need help recovering from lack luster app sales, read some tips from other successful developers and app marketers.

Every iPhone developer dreams of making that #1 selling AppStore app and some make it, but to be quite frank this is so rarely the case. Alot of developers make a masterpiece (or something not even close to it) just to realize one say every few days, it’s discouraging. So what to do to recover from lack luster sales? Well a few developers with success stories and a marketers have shared their stories below to help those apps that just can’t seem to not do well in the AppStore see another light of day. Hey, maybe a tip or two will help your app recover!

Alan Ringvald shares his story:

Our iNDA app lets users create and sign custom non-disclosure agreements. We launched this app in November of last year for $4.99, but barely got our friends to download it! Then, in mid-april, we decided to make the app free to hopefully get more exposure. Within a day of making the app free, we received over 1,000 downloads and reached the #25 free business app in the US in April 2010 and the top 100 free business app in 18 countries. Now with this new exposure, we have lots of legal and online signature companies interested in acquiring the app.

Craig of Caruso Apps:
After a hurtful winter of only making $4.80 in December, I set on a quest to promote my app. I read a lot of blogs and made my own recovery plan during this time. I lowered my app to 99 cents from the $1.99 it was originally selling for and made user suggested changes to improve the quality of the app. After these changes were made I saw a slight increase but was still not happy. During March I made my own Twitter account for iLineup (twitter.com/iLineup). Since my app is baseball focused I decided to use hashtagging – a community-driven convention for adding additional context and metadata to your tweets.

By using #baseball, #coaches, #softball, #fielding and some other tags I saw a huge growth in my app. I think the start of the 2010 MLB season really helped me kick off my sales. The hashtag of my app was looked at by a local minor league baseball team and I worked with them at an event in June.
My advice to all developers is, if your app is sports driven, release it before the season starts and not in the middle since you will only make half the profit. If you start ahead of the game, you’re bound to win!

151 Ventures , a marketing and sales consulting firm that helps mobile software companies and application developers take their products to market and drive sales and revenue points out a few things that will help developers increase visibility, make their apps more discoverable, and increase downloads/purchases.

1. PAY ATTENTION TO REVIEWS AND RATINGS AND ADDRESS ANY COMMON BUGS MENTIONED

iTunes is not a beta testing ground and you should ideally fix any and all bugs prior to launch. Consumers will get your apps and leave public reviews and feedback with problems they have and bad reviews can hurt ratings and downloads/sales. If you’ve already launched, fix the bug and revise the top of the description letting people know that the issues have been resolved. Also, responding to user feedback with an update shows your user base that they matter and that you listen to their feedback, which can often result in them changing negative ratings and fosters better responses from new, prospective users.

2. CHOOSE THE RIGHT CATEGORY AND/OR CHANGE CATEGORIES IF YOU NEED TO.

The “most relevant” category is not always the best one, especially if it’s a crowded category. Figure out the best combination of category relevancy and visibility, so your app has a better chance of getting into the “Top Listed” apps for that category.

3. ADD A “LITE” OR “PREMIUM” VERSION.

In iTunes, you can’t have the same app in more than one category. But you can have similar apps in different categories, so add/remove a feature of your app and create a new “lite” or “premium” version of it in another area of the store to maximize your reach and visibility across iTunes.

4. REVISE PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS WITH RELEVANT KEYWORDS AND WRITING STYLE

Make sure that your product descriptions are in a writing style that appeals to your target audience. In many cases, this is not a laundry list of product features or technical functionality but a highlight of key features AND benefits to the end user. Also, make sure that the description includes relevant keywords based on the type of product you have, the category and potentially even competitive products. You can find these keywords by seeing the auto-suggested searches in the iTunes search box, by looking at popular competitive apps, or even doing a Google search on your product type.

5. CHANGE THE PRICE AND TEST DIFFERENT PRICE POINTS

A lot of times app pricing and consumer valuation just don’t match up. That’s why you need to adjust pricing and see what price point drives the most total revenue. Remember that getting a lot of users at a lower price point, can be much more lucrative than fewer users at a high price point, or vice versa. It is crucial to test different price points so you can see the market response and adjust your strategy and pricing accordingly.

If you are developer or even a iPhone, iPod , or iPad app user, what are some tips you would add?

A few people have contacted me about getting rid of their iPhone 2 & 3G’s for the new iPhone 4 and truly the only thing I’ve been able to tell them on how to get rid of it besides throwing away WHICH IS A BIG NO NO, is giving it to a friend.

Well I think I now have a better solution for those iPhone 2 and 3G owners and it’s to make money off it.There’s a service called SellMyMobile.com and of course, it’s FREE to use. What SellMyMobile does is they search numbers of phone recyclers to find you the best rate that you will receive on sending in your old iPhone – super useful! They say this guarantees each user the best price for their phone. I love this service and services like this because they help keep those old cells out of the freakin’ landfill where they DON’T belong, it’s just incredible to me how many people continue to dispose of electronics in the landfill.

I also think you could use this service to help fundraise for your new iPhone 4 without having any old ones as they take trade-in’s of over types of phones. So those dumb phones can you some money back as well.

Anywho, the only thing I don’t like about this service is that it’s only serves the UK, but if you live there AWESOME! In the U.S. you could find the nearest recycler and donate your phone or you could use one of these methods to get rid of your old phone.

A streamlined interface with the intuitive navigation lets users easily track events planned for a certain day, forthcoming weeks or months.
All important functions of Google Calendar service found their place in Calendars. Users can create, edit and delete events any time, add attendees to new and current events, manage reminders and recurring events. Even SMS reminders are available if there is a phone number listed in Google account settings.

I personally think iOS 4 makes the iPhone exactly what they wanted the original iPhone 3 to be. iOS 4 on the iPhone handles many user issues including better mail and app organization. Read more about the complete upgrade details with iOS 4.

The iOS 4 brought a lot of updates but we have listed only the most important:

Users can organize their iPhone apps into separate folders for better organization and easy access

Manage up to 2160 applications on a device

Folders will feature the drag-and-drop functionality that Apple device users know

Email: View messages from all your accounts in a single, integrated inbox

Email: Messages will be threaded

Email: Open attachments using third-party apps

Custom playlist creation for iTunes

Tap-to-focus video

5x zoom for camera functions

Photo: “Faces and Places” allows users to sort and view photos based on where they were taken and who appears in them

Easy background changes (this seems silly to type, since the phone can do so many other things well)

Gifted apps to friends and family (BIGGIE for devs!)

Bluetooth enabled wireless keyboards

Built-in spell checker

June 21st – Those with iPhone 3GS and iPod can upgrade capability to new iOS 4

Very nice updates I might say, some of them should have been originally added but everything takes time right. I’m now questioning what the iPhone 5 will have included, it seems like the iPhone 4 pretty much covers it all. I’m sure Jobs is already on top of this, lol.

Also, I hate to speculate, but does anyone else at least KIND OF think this OS will soon (maybe within a year or two) make an appearance onto their Mac desktop platforms. I think it would make it easier for developers to program, it seems to fit with their some what “consolidation” thing they have going on. Ohhhh the guesses, predictions, and wishes we Apple fans make.

With the release of a new gadget, especially from hype Kings Apple themselves, we usually can count on a few things always happening.

With a new release from Apple come the typical ‘aftershocks‘ of THE Apple gadget. So let’s see what we can expect.

#1 – A Jailbreak the First Day

Yes, it’s like the guys who do the jailbreaks prepare with coffee mugs and virtual camp outs just to be the ones that say they “jailbroke” the newest Apple device first. It’s amazing, admittedly it’s talent, but it’s totally predictable and I think you can expect a jailbroken version of the iPhone 4G at max two days after it’s released on the rumored date of June 18th.

We can only wait and see though.

#2 – iPhone 4G Giveaways

Lucky enough for those that don’t find the need to rush out and camp out with your camp chairs and coffee mugs there will be TONS of contests and giveaways from companies and blogs of all sorts to get you at least a bit closer than any of those waiting in line.

#3 – That One COOL App

It’s always one developer that locks himself and his team in a room, orders pizza or eats nothing at all and creates a piece of MAGIC for all of us to slobber over for days after the release of the new gadget. The latest example of this was Alice for the iPad. I’m super excited to see what exactly will the developers take advantage of with the iPhone 4G.

#4 – Overpriced eBay iPhones for Sale

For the horribly impatient, there is always the eBay option if you couldn’t make it to camp out like the others. Simply be willing to pay about $200 to sometimes $600 more than the retail price of the iPhone and it’s yours!

#5 – Hundreds of UnBoxing Videos

Big tech blogs and YouTubers everywhere will want to share the Christmas morning like excitement with everyone through the blessing of unboxing videos. I watch them, but after the first one it’s pointless. Luckily this NEVER takes the excitement out of opening your very own contribution to consumerism.

#6 – Tons of Opinions

Oh yea, there will be NO shortage of opinions from the day of WWDC to months after the official release date, don’t you guys worry. Fortunately with opinions everyone is RIGHT!

#7 – Twitter Trending Topic

Every one loves to Twitter about THE LATEST THINGS, so what makes the iPhone 4G release any different. I ‘predict’ a Twitter trend on the day of and two days after the WWDC announcement AND the day of and one week after the actual iPhone 4G release.

#8 – Lines

Yes, you can expect lines. There were lines for the Palm Pre release so why wouldn’t there be lines for the Apple iPhone 4G release. I just won’t even attempt to assume how long the lines would be

#9 – Analysts Forecasts

The wonderful and not helpful whatsoever “ANALYSTS FORECASTS” that will let all of the other “uninformed” know exactly what the iPhone 4G’s success will be in the future, because they are professionals and they know. It will be ‘nice’ to hear predictions on how well the iPhone 4G will do, but quite frankly we won’t know until it’s over.

#10 – “I Told You So”

Yes, tons of analysts and bloggers will spend their Monday afternoons and Tuesday blogging on how right they were on basically totally confirmed “rumors” by Jobs himself or things that have been so leaked that it was a given a few weeks ago.
